The Weight Of My Lost Illusions Poem by Mihaela Pirjol

The Weight Of My Lost Illusions

Rating: 5.0

The weight of my lost illusions,
In time with me I carry—heavy;
As this life is disillusion,
For every dream, I pay a levy:
It's so sad the waste in growth,
To lose the childish magic known…

A fairy tale depicted surreal,
By the eye of mind—made palpable;
Invisible it was, and yet, so real!
By spirit recognised believable:
The infinite possibilities—
Multitudes of realities!

The weight of lost illusions is a weight each one of us carry. Loved it.
