The Winds Poem by Malory Joyce

The Winds

Gravity cant forget
The days you've kept me upon ground;
Those gentle helping hands
which kept me down.

I walked the world again
by side of the most beautiful thing
Your elegance, so heavy;
I am but as light as string.

Yet unlike gravity,
you forget to tell me
that the winds will sweep me away
for I am but as light as string.

I cant forget
Your laugh, your smile, your smell,
your strong voice, and the way
you lifted yourself.

Now I am on my own,
I must be brave!
Oh how I wish to be surrounded by
your embrace.

but wherever the winds shall blow me
I hope to fall underneath your grace.
