The Winter Months Poem by Ray Hansell

The Winter Months

The weather has been so cold...My heater can't do it's job...Trying to warm up my house...Has become a full time job...I run my heater all day long...But to no avail...It doesn't heat up my house...All it seems to do is fail...At night beneath the covers...I get so toasty warm...Somehow me and winter...Just don't get along...Safe and warm from the outside world...That is so very cold...But underneath my covers...That's where I'm sold...My covers work better then my heater...That's supposed to keep me warm...I can no longer live in the cold...I guess I'm just not that strong.
