The Word's Journey Poem by Dónall Dempsey

The Word's Journey

Rating: 2.6

struggle through
this landscape

all is quiet
only white

endlessly before me

(horizon upon horizon)

I dare to take
another step

stake my life
on it

white after white after white

I trek
across this vastness

putting one word
in front of an other

trying to make
this page

talk.

I write.

Oh, the fear that that vast whiteness instills in me...........trying to come up with one intelligent word............horrific.....
