The Words That Kill Poem by Ann Marge

The Words That Kill

Rating: 3.0

I was so madly in love,
in dreaming I was lost,
with just a few words
a new world of lust
of madness,
of disgust
was taking form;
waiting to die,
waiting to be mourn.

Words have the power to create
and destroy
we like to abuse
we feel so confident
to sooth and bruise
with a weapon
we don't really know how to use.

It was a deadly trap
and I stepped right into it
using the words...
But sooner came to realize
that in my attempt to listen
I have lost my own eyes.
