The World, The Flesh, And The Devil Poem by Pete Crowther

The World, The Flesh, And The Devil

Rating: 5.0

As a child I was taught
to despise this world —
the World, the Flesh, and the Devil,
but the world I have found
is a beautiful place,
and I’ve nothing but praise
for the Flesh, while the Devil
as yet I never have met
but I think
He’s just had a bad press.

Yea, the world is a cool place and am glad u found that out. As for the devil, may be you've met him before, As Richard Crossman said 'The devil Once lived in Heaven, and those who have not met him are unlikely to recognize an angel when they see one. So may be you have met him before? :) Cool poem anyways, , , , I think I'm changing the subject :) Peace.

I've never understood those who show their love for God by eschewing everything he gave us on earth. I really love this poem Pete, it's one of my favourites of yours. Hugs Anna xxx

I am so glad you managed to rise above your childhood doctrines Peter, I am not sure about the Devil having a bad press day though! lol An enjoyably uplifting read, thanks for sharing, Smiling at you, Tai
