There Is No Wrong In Sowing The Seeds

Rating: 5.0

I have read how he left Ireland in disgrace
And that he now live in far and remote place
From seat of influence he dropped to the floor
And he won't be Galway's Bishop any more.

I have read how he fled Galway in great shame
That he had stained his character and name
He had sown the seeds that gave life to a son
And i can see no wrong in what's he's done.

There is no wrong in sowing the seeds of life
But he should have taken Annie for his wife
He should have left the clergy years ago
But instead he watched his problems grow and grow.

From Diocesan fund hush money he did pay
And he hoped that his problems would go away
But money does not guarantee shut mouth
And Annie left her long held secret out.

For twenty years the Bishop lived a lie
And those he should have loved he did deny
For twenty years her silence he did buy
But when time was ripe she told of Bishop's boy.

There is no wrong in sowing the seeds of life
But he should have taken Annie for his wife
He should have left the clergy years ago
But instead he watched his problems grow and grow.
