There Is Nobody Perfect Poem by Francis Duggan

There Is Nobody Perfect

There is nobody perfect as most would agree
But some are nearer to perfect than others is how it seems to be
That perfection is something anyone cannot achieve
Is obviously clear and easy to believe
The near to perfect people to say the least few
And this is not saying anything that is new
To be flawed is to be human only true to say
Though some more flawed than others it does seem this way
The nearest to perfect people in every town
Are those who are strangers to wealth and renown
The people that fame and riches never desire
That few seem to know of and fewer admire
But they have compassion and empathy great human gifts indeed
Though of more of their sort the Human World is in need.
