There the setting sun sits low in endless sky
Burning with such fury that it does sting the eye
There upon the pond does its reflection glow
Illuminating a world filled with wonder we shan’t know
Slowly does the sun retreat behind the hill
Slowly does the dark advance with its wicked chill
As night envelopes the world in its dark embrace
The sun still shines a splint of light down upon my face
There the setting sun sits low in endless sky
As we fade into darkness the cold is drawing nigh
The setting of the sun, the day is growing dim
As the purple hue of sunset fills the sky to its brim
There the setting sun sits low in endless sky
As it sinks o’er horizon darkness slowly fills the eye
