There Was Such A Day Poem by Dorothy (Alves) Holmes

There Was Such A Day

Rating: 5.0

Quiet waters shimmer in diamond sun light,
Stretch as far as the eye can see.
Waves frolick, tiptoing to the edge
Of golden sand, spilling to carress
My toes, playing hide and seek
With shells and sea gulls.
Come share, they beckoned softly.
Come share my warmth and laughter.
A sycamore betwixt spruce and pine
Whispers, go!
Trail blazers, walking hand in hand,
Some ran...bade me come!
But I stayed to write,
So you would know,
There was such a day!

I love this poem, You can just close your eyes and imagine yourself walking hand in hand with the one you love, a sharing the beauty of the beach.
