There Where I Once Saw Heaven Poem by Phathiphan Mancuso

There Where I Once Saw Heaven

There where the warm caress of the morning reached
I reminisce those moments at that rocky beach
There where my eyes were all tinted yellow
A place where everything seemed so very mellow
There I was lying on the rocky sand
Having my face towards the cloud enjoying as much as I can
There I was scouring my eyes to see all that was present
What I saw was my definition of heaven
The men talking, the children laughing, the women bathing
All the things that fill my existential cravings
There where time seemed to freeze
There where it all was just a dream
Looking back today at the same rocky shores
I reminisce those moments at the rocky beach
Beside the bench and graffiti that I've never seen
