These Pills Poem by Bailey Fae

These Pills

I take these pills
One by one
Each one is smaller than a child’s thumb
I lay an orange one on my lips
And tap it back without a flinch
The next one is but the same
Instead I leave it to create a game
Stuck upon my sticky tongue,
It doesn’t budge without some aid
I gulp some water to free its seize
And now its down inside of me
To make me happy
And to keep me alive
These two little pills are controlling my life
My last little pill
All small, round and pink
It puts me asleep, within a blink
it gets rid of all the monsters in my head
It makes me feel as good as dead
These three little pills
Are supposed to keep me alive
But instead these pills
Make me want to die.
