They Speak The Truth Poem by Minx Videsben

They Speak The Truth

Rating: 4.0

It seems to haunt me,
the voices

They only ever say cruel things,
nothing good ever came from them

But they are right
All the things they say

I hear it everyday and everyday I know it's true

'Nobody likes you'
'Nobody wants you'
'Nobody needs you'
'Nobody even knows you're there'

And they're right
I know they are

I look around, and all I see is strangers
People who would drop me like trash

They don't care,
they never did and they never will

'Do it', they say
'It's just a knife'
'It's just a rope'
'It's just your life'

'But then again... What life? '
