They Were So Alike Poem by Jennifer English

They Were So Alike

Hours passed as she waited,
she could do nothing else.
He knew about her infatuation.

Nowadays it's more than that,
a full blown obsession.
She scares herself tonight.

His words are all she wants,
just his conversation.
She doesn't expect more.

As everything has changed,
he's not that guy anymore.
But it's too late now.

She can't get over this.
Trapped like a mouse,
she's got to follow this through.
