Things I Can'T See Poem by Dimitra Capelton

Things I Can'T See

One of the things I can not see,
Is why in the world you’re in love with me.

I’m not pretty and I’m not smart
And most of the time I have no heart.

I’m not athletic and suck at sports,
When I laugh really hard I sound like a pig that snorts.

I’m only happy when I hear from you,
If I didn’t, I don’t know what I’d do

You mean a lot to me and that’s is true,
And I’m as certain as the sky is blue.

I wish we talked more just you and me,
But, that is something even you can’t see.

I like the straightforward simplicity of your poem. It captures the feeling in a neat way.
