Thirst Poem by sultan mahmud

Thirst

Rating: 5.0

Capture More if you want
Keep them in inaccessible prisons
I'll get the head
Maybe there is no flower fragrance
No flower bed, song of birds
There are no fountains, no moonlight
There is no river coming down from heaven
No expensive food, just a piece of bread
I will accept everything with a smile
In negligence, in indifferent contempt
If there is, it is with me
Countless books to read
And a little paper to write!
This is an endless thirst
There is no alcohol to satisfy the thirst
I am drowning in the lake of knowledge
I will meet Thirst in the Kausar of the Prophet's hand.
