Seeking The Lord Poem by sultan mahmud

Seeking The Lord

Rating: 5.0

O Lord
I found you
In temples, mosques, churches, pagodas
The Bible, the Tripitaka, the pages of the Qur'an.
I seek you, O Lord
Morning, noon, evening, night
At the end of the hot sun, in the moonlight.
Continued to walk the path of the earth
North - South Pole turned and bowed.
Lord, where are you?
I also find harassment in the Sahara Desert
Searched the bottom of the Atlantic
Shadow path, nebula, distant space.
Lord, where do you find me?
Are you but invisible to man?
The Lord repaid me with a gentle smile
I am still in the courtyard of the heart
Listen to your heart
I am very close to you.
