This Big World Poem by Moth Harris

This Big World

I've got a really simple plan
It envolves climbing those trees
and branch by branch we'll be able to see
This big world and what it has in store for me

Now I've got a really vague idea
It started with the stars and stopped with my feet on the ground
and restraints and regrets were all that were to be found
I couldn't believe that this big world let me down

So I guess I fell from those trees
I guess even the main character bleeds
I don't know what I've been trying to read
but this isn't fiction to me

I've got a really simple plan
It involves me and you
and kiss by kiss will do what we do
and see what's true
In this big world

Now I've got a really vague idea
It started with doubt and ended at my heart
This isn't something worth tearing apart
Watched life painted like art
In this big world

So I guess I fell from those trees
Yeah but I landed in your shade
and like a prince loves a beautiful girl
This is where I'll stay
Even though there is no fiction here
I'll read it all day
In this big world
