This Is The Time To Act Over Mariupol (Italian Sonnet) Poem by Gert Strydom

With a drone with chemicals they did attack
leaving soldiers dizzy, unable to breath,
besieged no one did with food relieve
and for the world it is high time to act,

to turn the tide of war on Russia back,
to Putin as a mass killer to perceive.
While Ukrainians do Russian tanks retrieve,
to at the soonest give the weapons they lack,

while the people by repertory failure die,
to vestibule-attack syndrome do ail,
to act before it's too late or in vane
while still Russian shells and aircraft do fly,
to help the Ukraine to fight on a big scale,
to true to previous promises to remain.
