You may not have the looks,
And may not have written any books...
You might not be the brightest,
And your thoughts, not the wisest...
Though ungodly and obscene you might sound,
And seem rooted on an immoral ground...
Though failure seem to don your striving back,
And good fruits, all your efforts lack...

Yes, you do not drive the coziest of cars,
Or mingle with the most popular stars...
I know you dwell in a thatch-roofed manger,
With cracks for insects and reptiles that pose a danger...
Though poverty has known and called you by your name,
And fervently you prayed, and no answers came...
Neighbours and folks tag you a wizard or a witch,
And you feel like you have lost it all in a twitch...

Listen to me; do not lose your cool:

No one shaves your hair in your absence!
Your destruction from without starts from within.
For no guilty man is acquitted by his conscience.
So, seek its counsel in whatever you begin!

In the face of your travails, remain humble and honest
For ego kills a man quicker than a bullet,
While dishonesty nails your coffin with a strong fist,
Driving the nails deep with a huge mallet.

Blame no one for your failure:
Be responsible for the errors and mistakes.
The acceptance does not make you inferior.
It makes you a fitter contender for the stakes.

Remain positive and undaunted.
Prepare earnestly, be patient and calm.
Soon, providence shall furnish you with all you wanted,
With the powers to curse and bless thrust in your palm.

Learn to give and forgive.
Always say something good about someone
It's the essence of the life we live.
...the legacy left behind when we must have long gone.
