This Love Kills Us
Seeing the clouds form outside
The tears I am trying to hide
While I smile through the rain
And try to hide the pain
People see me laughing and joking
But inside my heart is broken
I want to change the hands of time
To the time we used to shine
What happened to those days?
When you used to hold me when I cried
Now I am alone
Inside my heart has died
I know it was my choice to leave
I wanted you to come with me
But you had different things going on in your life
So it was time I said goodbye.
My pride I can no longer sacrifice
I can no longer say what you need to hear
Because then I will be lying to myself
Every time you come near
I have to be honest with my heart
And let you know how I feel
And it is killing me to see you cry
In time I know you will heal
But I cannot continue this cycle
And not face what is in front of us
We both need space from each other
Now before this love kills us
