This Night Until Poem by Kerri White

This Night Until

It's midnight.
You're motionless.

The silk sheets hide behind your frame.
The world is unfolding right before your presense,
yet because of silence, you have no idea.

Three A.M.
You move a little.

The breeze is getting so cold,
and you shiver as your instinct realizes.
You're so full of warmth and yet you tremble.

It's damn.
Your breaths are so steady.

The rising sun luminates your complexion.
Your lashes reach out to me in beauty.
I make myself an ornament only for your sake.

I will sit here forever
until I am noticed by you,
for I am just a dream-
a dream which you desire to come true.
