This Will Be The Last Time; 33

this will be the last time i take it;
seconds tick by
the world outside of me,
outside my thoughts.
no longer has meaning.
time shudders to a halt
explodes on itself
the dog that leaps for the stick hangs in freeze frame
a single dropp of water hangs suspended below the tap
a salty tear waits;
halfway through a cutting stream down a cold cheek
this will be the last time i cry.
this will be the last time...
