This World We Live In Poem by Mark Ramirez

This World We Live In

Family does not stick together.
It falls apart.
Love does not exist.
Tis but a dream.
Nor does the "Almighty" exist.
He is just imaginary.
This world we live in,
It burns with wrong,
The people we see,
They die in vain.
The feeling we feel,
Are nothing but a curse.
We sleep through pain,
But gain no rest.
We eat through depression,
But earn no satisfaction.
There is no peace.
Only war.
This blood we shed,
Is only through hatred.
This hatred we hold,
Comes only from what we believe.
Our beliefs are betrayed,
By the ones we trust.
And our trust is destroyed
By the world we live in.
At the end of our world,
We we all be the dammed.
