Those Fearless Days Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

Those Fearless Days

Rating: 4.7

When I was a child I could not see,
All the world in front of me,
I felt happy as can be,
If only to see in front of me.

I lived for the day,
Those days far away,
Those memories never go away,
I went to Sunday school and prayed,
If only to go back once again.

When I was a child the world seemed free,
From death in life's humanity,
For I was young and so carefree,
Unaware of what's in front of me.

There is hate and greed in this world,
Life's not all about roses and pearls,
I wish I was that innocent girl,
Those days I loved,
Those days I yearn.
