Those Old Golden Days Poem by Mihir Modi

Those Old Golden Days

Where are those days when nothing was wrong n everything was right,
Unfortunately those days arr out of my sight...!

We were surely prince/princess for mom and dad,
Also, heights of being lazy was potty in nappy and pee in bed...!

Wearing tight ironed uniform and off to school,
Early to bed and early to rise was the only rule....!

How great those days where, when we were loved by many, while we crave to be loved today,
Truly those were the golden days, no fear for tomorrow and no pains of yesterday....!

For a toy car or chopper we use to cry,
But however we may achieve today, we never really satisfy...!

Childhood was so innocent and pure that betrayal was never the case,
And today, in midst of achieving so much we mask ourselves into multiple face...!

Earlier kho-kho, lagori, langdi were the moments of joy,
And now the only game we enjoy is to use people like a toy...!

Previously, friendship had so many vibrant shades of purity that it was a serene gift,
But today, ditches and misunderstandings took a hold to create rift....!

How great would it be, to live those days again,
Where innocence was the core and had no worries had no pain...!

There was no greed to come first and no fear of coming last,
Life would be easy and smooth rather being fast..!

There were no levels of expectations and it was fun being a foolish,
Being the lord of my will and turning back to childhood would be my last wish...!
