Those Who Cash In On Others Misfortunes Poem by Francis Duggan

Those Who Cash In On Others Misfortunes

Those who cash in on others misfortunes in their ways are so very small
They may think they are very clever but they are not nice people at all
It happens to so many people to those down in their luck every day
That some prosper out of the downfall of others does seem such a sad thing to say
To prosper on another's misfortune in the book of Human Law
not always a crime
Though some well known bureaucratic swindlers are behind bars serving prison time
The millionaire C E O's who became dishonest with them greed an addictive thing
Before they were known to be dishonest their praises the impressionable did sing
In a World where millions are homeless and of millions of Stateless refugees
The victims of wars and of famines dying of malnutrition and disease
The people who work on their behalf are people we should celebrate
One must admire them for their philanthropy good karma for themselves they create
But those who seek advantage on the misfortune of others seem so small in their own small way
Human law they may not even be transgressing but to karma a huge price they will pay.
