Those Who Died Poem by Austin Bradford

Those Who Died

Year 1939...
A year of war...
A year of pain...
Over 16,000 dead...
Many died without names...
The air filled with flames of crashing planes...
Families torn apart...
Children left all alone...
Entire cities filled with dead men and women...
Why must mankind cause such pain...
As I watch tears fall down my face...
Those we loved...
Those we cared for...
All slowly going away...
Gone...
Gone...
Gone...
Those who died in combat...
Shall always in be remembered...
