Those Yellow Lights Poem by chandra prakash verma

Those Yellow Lights

Rating: 4.0

Singing it today
bringing home a rain
wishing that my train
it gets me again
clinging to that hold
leaning out to slow
when these yellow lights refrain
for the reds to give way
so i'm singing it again
for the ones who were blamed
and the ones who were tamed
and the ones who did fade
and the ones who'd say
wishing that my train
it gets me again
wishing that my train
it gets me again
but when the fog did bleed
adjust my eyes to read
and i saw i wasn't there
where i meant to be this way
and then i sat to sing
like a bird with broken wings
wishing you were here
wishing for that train
as it forgets me again..
