Thoughts Poem by Jesking Amu

Thoughts

I'm in a conflicted state of mind right now
Hovering between whether to do
What I love to do or to play along and make it seem like I love doing what they see me do
Destined for greatness
That's what you are
The story I tell the man I see in the mirror
Every time another day breaks and I find myself awake
One of the blessings we mostly underrate
I was underage
So I can pardon me for those mistakes
But!
How about now?
When these words that come out of my mouth
Seem to weigh me down
When I don't puke them out!
How about now?
When I've seen and tasted
Just about everything this era has to offer
Even the inner parts of a woman
And I don't mean X-rays
But yeah
I've seen those too
Three stages of life
Birth
Growth
And death
Funny how the second stage
Though the longest
Passes the quickest
Cos we go through life like it's endless
The realms from which these words descend
Supersede the ordinary
So
Most people picture me as extraordinary
No!
I'm a simple guy from a humble home
With a big ego
And an affinity for the simpler things
Like
Being the weirdest among a said set
Fitting in is too much of a task for me
Let me just stick to being me
And the undying desire to be legendary
Fantasies
No!
Future realities
Call me crazy
I'll call you lazy
Too lazy to even dream
No moves made in your slumber
Hope I will be the bell that rings
"IT IS TIME TO WAKE UP! "
Hope you hear me before you turn 60
And a burden to your children
Regrets
Hope they never cross your path
If they do
Hope they do
At a time when you still have time
To make things right
Hope they never come as messengers from karma
Hope you never disrespected your mama
If you did then that's on you
But my mama is a demigod in my eyes
Blessed with the hands of Midas
Mama's love is stained with gold
Her heart
Bigger than the brains of J.Cole
But they turn cold
Against anyone that prays to see me fail
And they shall in the end fail! ! !
