Three Poem by Jennifer Sollmann

Three

Rating: 5.0

Who knew a silhouette could hurt
A simple shadow of a couple
One plus one equals pain
Bright eyes and a smile
Push away the hurt
Until the silhouette comes back
Haunting my conscious and unconscious
He’s happy
That makes it all okay
Just until the frown comes into play
I want to take it all away
Make it all perfect
Whether I’m one or three
Whether the equation
Equals pain or happiness for me
Three, three, three
I’m number three.
