Three Poems This Morn Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

Three Poems This Morn

For several weeks I have not writ
A word of poetry or prose,
But now when I do wish to sleep,
The words continually flows.

I do not understand it now,
Nor did I, in the past,
I know it is not up to me.
For HIS reasons ~ I don’t ask.

I have to relax my Mind,
Let my pen on paper flow,
And words in rhyme and scan again,
Into verses and poems do go.

This is the third since five a.m.,
Fifteen minutes each, you’d say,
But no ~ each poem does not take long,
As with words I shuffle and play.

The Rhyming is the hardest part,
The Lines I say in my Mind,
The Scan is there continually,
And the Meanings will not be unkind.
