Thrilled Imbeciles Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Thrilled Imbeciles

Whatever it is,
That should be but not there.
To embrace and replace it,
For something else.
Determined to get.
Although,
Claim not wanted.
Can not be defined,
As sense to make.

Yet...
Many have done this to dispute,
A better quality of life for all.
Shown with diversity,
The reality of this...
Could and can be produced.

However...
Those refusing this 'vision' to accept.
Can no longer be described as foolish.
Idiotic or stupid.
No!
Since only imbeciles,
Would be thrilled and proud...
Of their mental limitations.
With this to implement.
Convincing others,
They should also restrict...
Benefits they are guaranteed,
To receive and get.
If they believe they are entitled,
To prevent a moving forward.
And stop listening to those,
Proposing a quality of life...
That is above and beyond what they have.
