Through The Roof Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Through The Roof

What a goof
You sent me through the roof
You pulled such a prank
My heart flipped and sank

From you there was such laughter
You couldn’t catch a breath after
I was in a humorless huff
When I called your brazen bluff

What’s with the got-cha sense of hilarity…
Causing such a calamity
Creating a sudden panic whirl
Thoughts are still in a racing swirl

The rhythm of my heart pounds
With a loud thumping sound
Angrily I warn and protest
Never again… I vehemently request
