Tick, tick

“Boys, wait for no time “
Teacher may scold us many times
We got scared but thought over his anger
He was best among all the teachers

He may show it with all examples
How did he face it with long struggle?
It was only reason that he advised
But assured us full support with promises

There used be clock in the central hall
It was permanently hanged on wall
Gave us enough if time to respond to bell
That time was up and nothing was left to tell

Today we are all grown up
Many have become famous and known
Hats off to that teacher and elders
We are today on top of the ladders

Time has created many upheavals
It gives us warning if anything goes unwell
It gives no next time chance
It is missed if gone once

Hold it back if you can
Nothing may stop then
You may tire out of an exhaustion
So remain with no confusion

Tick, tick may be heard endless
Sometimes sadness and sometimes with happiness
That may change our feelings on face
But it may keep us all the time in race

Poem of the Day

poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

When the hours of Day are numbered,
And the voices of the Night
Wake the better soul, that slumbered,
