Tightrope (Between Heaven And Hell) Poem by soren Barrett

Tightrope (Between Heaven And Hell)

Tight like a spring over wound
Through every fiber
Electric energy flowing to the ground
Each muscle clenched to the point of pain
Uncertainty heavy in the air again
Caught between a mortal bodies torment and a spirit that's angelic
Your behaviors vary from the sublime to the demonic
How can I undo what has been done for fifty years?
How can I erase the pain and the tears?
When one has lost all that they had when they came to the table
It's time to leave the game while one is still able
