I lay in wait for my beloved
Impure thoughts lingering still
The city lights somehow blind me
Thinking she's just caught on traffic
Hours seem a hundred years passing
I'm reduced to nothing but a withering memory
A sign of her is all I'm asking
To finally hush my dying heart
I was awakened by her kiss
Her face glowing in my sunlit room
Somehow i felt something amiss
Her lips tasted like past bliss
Oh..did it explode? .. Very passionate..yet I think there's someone..awaken to the truth of reality.. Very nice concept..and perfect sequence...

Hi! I’m Eddie Roa and I just got in to this website. By chance I came across your name in the list of poets and read some of your works. We all get impatient at the end of a love affair. Nice write. I have posted some of my poems today and a few days earlier. My style ranges from light to dark poetry (modern enough but not postmodern) and some Japanese verse forms like haiku, senryu and tanka. I hope you will bother to check out my work. Thanks and happy writing.
