Time Has Come Poem by Alison Smith

Time Has Come

Rating: 5.0

Time has come they arise from the depths
The two legged beings are done
They have wasted what was given them
Its time we showed them how.

We have quietly watched as they tried
To make something of the land
But greed and complacency have taken the upper hand.
They seek only what will please them now.

We will not forsake them as they drown
In their own mistakes.
But the choices that now we must make
Can only come through replacement.

We gave them time to recognize
All the mistakes they made.
But still they waste the precious earth
And seek only to decimate.

There are a few we will leave alone
Those who quietly contemplate
Who use the earth for what it is
And not try to change it.

But for those who cant even
Live with each other
Who draw their weapons
And destroy their neighbor
They we will replace….

For time has come
To heal this land
To make it whole again
Time has come to make amends.

Alison, yes you are right, we are the keepers of this world and not its owners. We need to look after it for not only ourselves, but all the other creatures that inhabit this world. Beautifully written poem. Top Marks and thanks for sharing it my friend. David

Peace always comes at a great cost but is necessary in order to live a happy life. I don't believe as below that we must beat and play games like some do, just to get our way and quite honestly I think it's one of the many reasons there is so little peace in peoples lives...Some hold their anger within or express it when caught in their web of lies...I don't believe we should try to beat someone at their own game just to win either but alas many do and it causes pain and separation and in some cases loss of ones family...When we can be at peace with living. good lives, one person, by person, one after another, than we will be on the road to where we should have 'arrived at' Long Ago........this is superb.....oh wonderful writer from the country of my favorite bear. Threats never work, they just cause havoc and destruction and people who play games generally get caught in the end.Honesty plays a great role in our quest for PEACE! ! ~~~..marci.xo

Powerful, and profound statement to a call of solidarity to Peace or else...I like this, as in one vein, the tone of threat suggests a contradiction...yet, sometimes one must beat one by playing & defeating them at their own game...I like this Alison! FjR
