Time Passage Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

It is only time passage
Don’t take it as warning but only message
Death may ride over at any time and will not see any age
Soul, which is imprisoned, may be freed from body cage

I have spared and waited for none
I don’t belong to any group or favor one
I will strike at will and surprise everyone
Your opinion about me may stand as bye gone

I have to perform the task with hurricane’s speed
I uproot the big trees or upcoming seed
All living beings are at mercy and stay as exposed
They got to leave their roots as stand forced

Everybody has to depart one day and it is fixed
Nothing can prevent it even if feelings are mixed
I will have to act firmly as I am simply mediator
Its control is in somebody’s hand as mentor

One should sense the urgency of time and act
It has to be calculated exactly as matter of fact
If you remain to be lethargic and non vigilant
It has to be done by as holy task and important

You may prefer to be silent and ignore the warning
You will be caught with surprise even early in morning
I don’t wait for a minute and give time to recover
It is done in seconds and not allowed to cover

You may enjoy the fruit as time is not ripe for you
You may escape all fury as blessings from thou
It is timed in such way that you tend to forget
I may come with double speed as you lay flat

No one has been given freedom or any escape
It is bound to happen and no one can cap
Kings, queens, rich and poor all departed from scene
What more can be done has remained to be seen

I side with force which are timely and in tune
No one is allowed to act contrary or be immune
Count down may begin at any time with precision
It is always left to the wisdom and timely decision

All movements can stop if I am unable to assert
It has been designed in such a way that no one can avert
Every one has to submit to my arrival on stage
No time is allowed to regroup or to manage

May be time is not allowed to be used at will
It is not at all bargaining factor still
It has to come one day so it will come
One can plan ahead of its arrival and welcome
