Time Won't Heal

Only time will heal, they said
That used to be the truth
While we lie in ice cold grass
Things seem to go so smooth
Because our present love is strong, as future evil sins
Time will just pass on, I said, that's not how things have been
But only those who've loved will know that lies are deep as skin

I was outside camping with my ex-girlfirend. There had been a lot of drama with my other ex, and I felt as if things did't pass on over time, i did not get forgiveness over what i did.

Given passage of time, the human mind learns to let go and rationalize that is irrational. Indeed time does assuage pains of any kind of loss. A good poem, well articulated and nicely penned with insight. Thanks for sharing Emil. Please read my poem CHILDREN OF CRUEL FATE.
