Title For The Future Poem by Robert Trew

Title For The Future

To seek and strive and reach for the weak
That was you; cool as I, just as witty.
Though a dreamer, but never a screamer
Now you ask all for what? Pause for the gasp
No more time on the clock to commit a crime.

I barely sleep, almost forget, I hear a creek
Is that you at my door? I hide, low to the floor.
Time to go, a level head, we can't be no hero
The sound of a smash, we fear no backlash
Oh the heat, to much to grab, out in a heartbeat
We may be rookies, the risk, for our families.
