To Admit Mistakes Made Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

To Admit Mistakes Made

The biggest mistake anyone can make,
Is admitting not wishing to be perfect.
And daring publicly to acknowledge,
That being a human being can be challenging.
With attempting to do this,
Without pretensions to charade.
In a comfort that accepts,
Nothing else.
Since approval to be who one is,
And thankful about it...
Is a success to have achieved.
That leaves one proud to be able,
To admit mistakes made.
Blemishes and flaws.
Corns on toes.
And a dislike for imitators.
Limiting their lives to live deluded.
