Every now and then
My spirit breaks free,
And when I get the urge,
There's no stopping me;
I have to run wild
And free in the world,
With my little flag
Of independence unfurled!
I'm always searching
For an exciting face,
But I watch from a distance -
I know my place;
And you chase after me,
In the panic of loss,
But I burn and destroy
Every bridge that I cross
O, please, let me wander,
Let me be free,
Let me do what comes
So naturally;
You know you won't find me
If I don't want you to,
But why do you panic....
I always come back to you
I like this a lot its strange that you write about being free, but in the end it seems like your running to someone that captures your heart and your freedom, its an interesting conundrum but it really works for this. fav lines I have to run wild And free in the world, With my little flag Of independence unfurled! run free run wild

Another great poem, Lora. Wonderful rhythm and rhyme, as always. A sad tale really. Constrained by your conscience? Commendable.
