To Be Killed Poem by Elif Kocabas

To Be Killed

We all were a little lonely,
A little…
In pain
A little confused
And a little engaged
We all would become the same person
When the lights went down
And we all had the same secrets
That we kept so hard;

As if they'd cause us
To be killed.

We all had those memories
And those good old sorries
Every memory was one
And every one was a memory
We'd never let them in our minds
As if they'd conquer it
What a shame that we would never
Dare to be another's already.
What a shame that we would never
Dare to be killed already.
