To Be Old And Ugly/ Was Never My Dream Poem by Shalom Freedman

To Be Old And Ugly/ Was Never My Dream

To be old and ugly
Was never my dream
Now I have without trying
Achieved it
What do I do with this
I do not know
I will not reverse this
I will if I go on
Only get older and uglier
It's a shame sort of
I was a fairly decent looking person once
But that's over forever
So long as I breathe
It will not be pretty me for others.
