To Enter Oneself Poem by Phoolmatee Dubay

To Enter Oneself

Lost and tainted by another!
The insults? The innuendos? The inferences?
All impacted negatively on me!
Weighing me down!
Bringing me down!
The pessimist in him?
Is not what I needed?
An optimist I've become!
His darkened shadows are not in my presence!
But that of which is of myself I see!
My shadows are what follows me not his?
