To Far To Feel Poem by Aaron Graczyk

To Far To Feel

12/ 21/10 2 44 am, the night of the eclipse
Darker the moon pulls my heart closer to her, trembling before my feet I step to new levels in hope of finding her. She lies far beyond my hearts retrieval but I’m confident in finding her. Past memories make me remember how her cheeks dimple when she smiles, how her hair flows with laughter, and how her eyes glisten back into mine. How I wish upon the day my lips meet hers. Like how one would wish for a second chance for anything that struck meaning to them. Her body created to perfection by God. Her soul flows like the blood in my veins. The moon like a marker of the distance between us. How the distance is far but the reward greater than any other. And for that one moment in front of her I beckon for I’m stuck still behind this moon. On that day I reach her and there she lies in front of me what would be the right? What I’ve dreamed about from past till present. Or the trusting morals and giving her up at least until you know you’re ready. For this day I wait but wish I could stop to think about it first.
