To Give Blindly Poem by Tennessee West

To Give Blindly

Give me something to say and I will
Say it without reservation
Give me something to hate and I will
Hate it
It foils my own moral conviction!
Give me someone to love and I will
Love them as if they were kin
Write me a letter and I will
Cherish it
Sing me a song and I will
Dance to its cadence like no other

For you, I do everything blindly
Including loving you
