To Heaven Poem by Randy McClave

To Heaven

Your dad might pray for you
And your mom might pray too,
So, might your sisters and your brothers
And maybe then many others.
You might be a regular church member
Since way past last November,
You might have also been baptized
Which you now have proudly advertised.
You might do a lot of very good deeds
Even helping the unfortunate with their needs,
Weekly at Church you might give great tithes
Which you know is biblical and wise.
One day a minister might preach at your funeral
He might praise you as number one numeral,
He might say how a great Christian you were
Then a Hallelujah from family, friends and visitors might concur.
But, this the Bible does profess
The above doesn't grant you heavenly access,
The only guaranteed path is to repent your sin
And then believe and follow the Lord Jesus, "Amen! "
