To Hold

I need you in my arms
I want to sleep with you 
Like we did hand in hand
But want & need denied
Therefore
I reject need
I refuse want
I avoid
Touch of friend
                         hug
                                 kiss
They only remind me
Better         forget
Better                alone 
Better                        always
Better                               never
Then to feel one more time
The sting
The pain
Of your touch
                                          withheld
